CERSAIE 2026

From 21 to 25 September, Bologna hosted the 43rd edition of CERSAIE, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings.
Coem explores the authentic relationship between material, landscape and design through new surfaces born from a deeper understanding of nature. A narrative where textures, forms and material perceptions come together to create new design languages.

nature

Observing nature means looking beyond the surface, capturing its traces, rhythms and transformations. Every project begins with a conscious perspective, translating what we see into knowledge and inspiration.

For Coem, nature is not an aesthetic to imitate, but a design approach: material originates in the earth, meets technology and returns to the spaces we inhabit through surfaces that interpret its most authentic essence.

DEEPLY REAL expresses this profound perspective on reality, transforming the observation of nature into material, design and emotion.

DEPTH WITHIN. RELIEF ABOVE.
ONE AUTHENTIC SURFACE.

DEEPLY REAL stems from the pursuit of a new material depth, designed to make the relationship between graphic, structure and surface even more authentic. Two complementary processes work on the ceramic material in opposite ways: one carves into it, while the other builds upon it.

Used individually or combined, the two processes create different levels of three-dimensionality, enhancing the visual and tactile depth of the surfaces. Graphics and structure thus establish an even more precise relationship, giving rise to a ceramic material rich in details, variations and reliefs – deeply real.

PHOTOGRAPHY BY MATTIA BIANCO

To tell the story of what is deeply real, we chose an authentic point of view. Mattia Bianco’s images accompany the collections through a distinctive, author-led approach to photography that observes reality and captures fragments, traces, landscapes and unexpected moments. Images born from real experiences, places and moments, selected not to describe the material, but to evoke connections, inspirations and new perspectives.

BEAUTY PRESERVED. MATTER REVEALED.

From the stone of the Duomo to contemporary architecture, Milano Sublime represents one of the most significant material research projects in Coem’s history.

Developed in collaboration with the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, the collection interprets Candoglia marble – the stone used for centuries in the construction and restoration of the Cathedral – translating its identity, chromatic nuances and depth into porcelain stoneware surfaces. Thanks to ongoing research into the material, at Cersaie 2026 the series evolves with new colours and formats, expanding its expressive potential.

SPAZIO HANGAR

WHERE INTUITION TAKES SHAPE

All Coem’s latest innovations come to life inside SPAZIO HANGAR, the company showroom, completely renovated for this edition of Cersaie.

An architectural environment conceived as a laboratory of ideas, where materials, light and volumes interact to create an immersive and authentic experience.

Here, the new collections are presented through exhibition paths that highlight ceramic material as a design tool and source of inspiration.
