This porcelain tile collection by Coem offers a new, graphic take on Venetian terrazzo, conceived to explore new design and style avenues. Terrazzo originated in the 15th century in Venice as an attractive way to use leftover pieces of marble, granite and quartz, which were mixed with cement to form a single compound similar to an irregular mosaic in appearance. It was widely used both for its durability and because it could be used to create patterns. The types created for these porcelain flooring tiles vary from fine grain to medium grain, allowing for the use of coordinated or contrasting wall tiles. The series slots seamlessly into a variety of important architectural settings, both modern and traditional, offering novel, stimulating perspectives.
