The Porfirica collection, produced by Coem, has won the “Architizer A+ Awards” competition in the Product Category | Finishes: Flooring, taking both the prize awarded by the jury and the popular choice award.
Architizer is a web platform based in New York, entirely dedicated to architects and project designers. Created in 2009 to make architecture and design accessible to everyone, it is today the world’s largest online platform for architecture and design, hosting projects uploaded by the project designers themselves.
Now in its 8th edition, the ARCHITIZER A+ AWARDS is an international competition comprising more than 100 categories and with over 200 judges.
Porfirica, selected among the finalists from all over the world, had already automatically been admitted to the subsequent, more prestigious contests: the “Architizer A+ Jury Award” and “Architizer A+ Popular Choice Award“, and won both.
Porfirica is the Coem take on Porphyry – perhaps the best-known magmatic stone – in both natural colours and in new shades and patterns with a variable grain size, offering an impressive variety of combinations. Already used in ancient times, yet exquisitely modern, and able to create uniquely thrilling settings.
Coem is proud of the result obtained, and wishes to warmly thank the jury of the Architizer Awards and all those who voted for the Porfirica series!
