The Shelf project, designed by Paolo Benevelli for Coem and selected for ADI Design Index 2018, is among the candidates for the 26th COMPASSO D’ORO, the most prestigious international award in the world of design.
In over sixty years of its history, it has made a name for itself as the most sought-after industrial design award, and the most prestigious accolade for projects, products, research and merit.
Shelf is featured in the Compasso d’Oro ADI Award exhibition, which will be held in Milan from 13 to 21 June 2020 in the new ADI Design Museum – Compasso d’Oro, one of the largest design museums in Europe, and a benchmark at global level, which will be welcoming a permanent exhibition with the objects that have received awards from 1954 until the present.
The Compasso d’Oro ADI Collection has been declared of “exceptional artistic and historical interest” by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities.
ADI, The Industrial Design Association, and Cersaie, which have come together to acknowledge and promote the most innovative products in the Italian ceramics sector, presented the Shelf project with the ADI Ceramics & Bathroom Design Award 2017, for the following reason:
“A process innovation that transforms the ceramic tile into highly functional shelves, adaptable to various products of the company”.
