We are proud to announce that the ADI Design Permanent Observatory has selected our SHELF product, devised for Ceramiche Coem by designer Paolo Benevelli, for publication on the ADI Design Index 2018.
The ADI Design Index 2018 is the first volume of the two-year cycle that collects the products provisionally selected for the ADI Compasso d’Oro 2020 Award, so this is a very important achievement.
The award, devised in 1954 by “La Rinascente” and later given over to ADI, which has been managing constantly since 1956, is the most prestigious award for the production and planning quality of Italian design goods, services and systems.
The annual selection, the only one of its kind on the international awards scene, has been made according to a rigorous working method and exclusive merit criteria by the ADI Design Permanent Observatory, made up of over 100 experts, organised into commissions that operate on three different levels: Territorial Commissions, Thematic Commissions and a Final Selection Commission. There were 746 candidates, and just 172 of those products were selected: ADI Design Index 2018 has once again opted to place the accent on quality, which for ADI means choosing the finest Italian design objects. It was truly an honour to receive praise from the ADI Executive Committee and the Delegation for the result achieved, and for the hard work and enthusiasm we put into our work every day.
We are pleased to share these words of praise with Paolo Benevelli.
