A surface that extends the design
A vast range of colours, formats, thicknesses and finishing to choose from allows for great versatility of use for coordinated projects of small and large dimensions.
Wall coverings and floorings in porcelain stoneware offer excellent technical and aesthetic solutions, adaptable to every intended use in a residential or commercial context, with both internal and external applications.
Thanks to the extraordinary aesthetic levels reached in an infinite colour variety and textural and material-effect decorations, porcelain stoneware becomes an integral part of numerous architectural and furnishing projects with exclusive style and design qualities.
Resistant to every type of external stress
Compared to natural materials, porcelain stoneware is perfectly resistant to knocks, abrasions and wear, without damage or deterioration.
The partially vitreous structure and the compactness of the support make it particularly hard and resistant. These characteristics are regulated by international standards that make it possible to define objectively comparable scales of values, certifying the main features.
Thanks to the technical characteristics of safety and resistance, porcelain stoneware can be used in any part of the house or also in contexts intended for heavy traffic such as shopping centres, airports, museums and other large architectural structures used by the public.
With porcelain stoneware it’s easy to remove dirt and dust deposited on the surface, guaranteeing the necessary hygienic conditions in any environment. The high level of cleanability comes from its characteristics of compactness, impermeability and resistance to stains.
For this reason, porcelain stoneware is particularly suitable also in public contexts, such as schools, hospitals, swimming pools, wellness centres and spas.
Impermeable, with no fear of stains
Porcelain stoneware is a ceramic material with a compact, coloured, hard and non-porous body, making it exceptionally resistant and impermeable.
The surface is perfectly cleanable with normal detergents without the need for particular solvents and is resistant to any stain, also the most obstinate, such as oil, coffee and wine stains which can occur in the kitchen, or other stains caused by perfumes, creams and solvents used in the bathroom.
Porcelain stoneware is composed of a coloured body fired in the kiln at extremely high temperatures (1200-1400 C°).
This process makes it possible to achieve a state of vitrification that guarantees impermeability, with very low levels of water absorption, which lead to its non-porosity and therefore excellent resistance to low temperatures and frost.
This characteristic also produces high resistance to bending, as confirmed by the maximum stress that the material, subjected to a growing bending force, can tolerate before breaking.
Always brilliant colours and textures
The colours and finishings of porcelain stoneware remain stable over time and are not affected by use and daily cleaning and maintenance operations.
Exposure to the sun, atmospheric agents and smog do not alter at all the look of the surface over time. The delicate tonal variations of surface material effects, such as stone, marble or wood, maintain over the years a harmony of contrasts and shadings perfectly calibrated and rarely found in nature.
Porcelain stoneware is produced with sophisticated production processes that respect the environment.
It has no waterproofing chemicals, paints or resins; it does not emit fumes also in the presence of flames or heat and does not release radioactive gases.
It’s an inert material, in the sense that its composition prevents any emission of substances harmful for health. In addition, in contrast to other surfaces, it does not retain dusts, pollens or germs, minimizing health risks if properly cleaned.
