TOUR CERAMICLAND – TERRA MAESTRA
The 6th of May, coinciding with the opening of Expo 2015, saw the inauguration of the itineraries that make up the “Ceramicland – Terra Maestra” tour, involving the municipalities in the ceramic district (Casalgrande, Castellarano, Fiorano Modenese, Formigine, Maranello, Sassuolo, Scandiano), along with Confindustria Ceramica.
The tour, linked with Discover Ferrari&Pavarotti Land, offers a new tourism approach to the area comprising the foothills between the provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia, drawing visitors’ attention not only to the significant natural and historical features, but also to the lively creativity that has made the area an international benchmark for technological aspects regarding the ceramic and motor sectors.
10 stops on the tour are linked to “intelligent manufacture” (ceramics, design, research), 6 to fine living (golf&country club, spa areas, food and wine), 10 to culture (castles, palaces and museums), and the whole exceptional offer can be accessed by contacting the partner travel agencies (Modenatur and Snack Travel).

Concentrated in an area measuring a few dozen kilometres – also home to the COEM factories – are a wealth of businesses that manufacture the most sophisticated of Italian ceramics, recognised and sold worldwide for their beauty and quality. For the first time, this major Italian technological and scientific district opens its doors to visitors, who will have the chance to visit the laboratories and companies to find out more about how the products are created.
